Kyrgyzstan plane crash: Dozens die as Turkish cargo jet hits homes

A Turkish freight plane flying from Hong Kong has smashed in Kyrgyzstan, murdering no less than 37 individuals, the greater part of them on the ground, authorities say.

The Boeing 747 TC-MCL airplane worked by ACT Airlines smashed as it arrived in haze at Manas air terminal, 25km (15 miles) north of the capital, Bishkek.

No less than 15 structures were demolished in a town outside the air terminal, with various kids among the dead.

Flight TK6491 was to have halted at Manas in transit to Istanbul in Turkey.

ACT is an Istanbul-based carrier working under the name MyCargo. The plane is accepted to have been around 14 years of age.

Appointee PM Muhammetkaly Abulgaziev said on state TV: "As per preparatory data, the plane slammed because of a pilot mistake."

One witness, Baktygul Kurbatova, told nearby media: "I woke up on account of a brilliant red light outside. I couldn't comprehend what was going on.

"It turns out the roof and the dividers were slamming on us. I was so terrified however I figured out how to cover my child's face with my hands so flotsam and jetsam would not fall on him."
