Musical 'La La Land' leads nominations for Britain's BAFTA awards


LONDON: Fresh from its prosperity at Hollywood's Golden Globes, sentiment melodic "Fantasy world" leads the field for one month from now's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) grants subsequent to securing 11 designations on Tuesday.

Science fiction film "Landing" and mold originator Tom Ford's dramatization "Nighttime Animals" each got nine designations, while "Manchester by the Sea", about a family managing disaster, got six.

"Fantasy world" stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were named in the Leading Actor and Leading Actress classifications. The motion picture about a piano player and battling on-screen character in Hollywood is likewise in the running for Best Film, Original Music, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, Production Design and Costume Design.

Damien Chazelle was designated in the Director and Original Screenplay classes. On Sunday night, the melodic won seven Golden Globes.
