Missing Harry Potter painting prompts Parcelforce apology
A 4ft-high painting of Harry Potter worth £700 has "vanished" in the post - leaving its maker shy of a couple of Galleons.
Hannah Weston, 26, said it took her few days to finish the 4ft by 3ft (1.2m by 0.9m) respect to the kid wizard.
However, the sketch never made it to the Parcelforce terminal close to her Norwich home.
The firm said it was "not able find" it and offered £125 in remuneration.
Tattoo craftsman Ms Weston, 26, said the circumstance was "unbelievably dampening".
"I poured days of my time, vitality and energy into that immense painting," Ms Weston told the BBC.
"I painted Harry out of unadulterated love for stories that have brought me euphoria and I trust that it winds up in the hands of somebody who really acknowledges it."
She sold the canvas to a lady who wanted to offer it to her little girl, who was "fixated on the Harry Potter books", as a birthday introduce.
'Silly remuneration'
Parcelforce came to get the package from Ms Weston's home, yet when the purchaser called to state she had not gotten the work of art, the craftsman discovered it had never touched base at the terminal.
An across the country stop inquiry was done yet the sketch was never found.
"The pay I was offered - £125 - was silly given that it wasn't a blunder or harm," Ms Weston said.
"The cases procedure was close unimaginable and I wound up borrowing cash to cover everything."
Ms Weston said she had not announced the episode to police as she had been told a missing package was not considered a stolen thing.
In an announcement, a Parcelforce representative apologized to Ms Weston "that she has not gotten the administration she expected and merited from Parcelforce".
