Trump tries to explain remark about Sweden amid ridicule
US President Donald Trump has looked to disclose why he alluded to a security episode in Sweden on Friday which did not really happen.
Tending to a rally on Saturday, he had stated, "take a gander at what's going on the previous evening in Sweden", as he recorded parts of Europe hit by fear monger assaults.
With no such episode announced in Sweden on Friday, the nation approached the US organization for a clarification.
Mr Trump tweeted on Sunday that he had been alluding to a TV report.
He said it had been communicate on Fox News however did not state when. He may have been alluding to a Fox News program on Friday night, which took a gander at outcasts and wrongdoing in Sweden.
Regardless of his words "happening the previous evening in Sweden", White House representative Sarah Huckabee Sanders said independently that Mr Trump had been looking at rising wrongdoing and late episodes when all is said in done, not alluding to a particular issue.
Previous Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt was among the individuals who taunted Mr Trump's remark, proposing that he had "been smoking".
