Australian biker executioner sentenced to death in Thailand
An Australian man has been sentenced to death in Thailand for his part in the murder of a biker.
Antonio Bagnato, 28, was discovered blameworthy on Tuesday of killing Australian previous Hells Angels part Wayne Schneider.
Schneider, one of New South Wales' 10-most-needed escapees in 2006, was stole by veiled men from his home in the Thai beachside town of Pattaya in 2015.
His bare body was discovered days after the fact in a 2m (6ft) grave in the wilderness.
Bagnato, a kickboxer and Schneider's previous business accomplice, was sentenced in the Pattaya Provincial Court of murder, hardship of freedom and discarding a body.
"The main respondent [Bagnato] is discovered blameworthy of all charges and as indicated by the criminal code, the punishment is execution for the murder and hardship of freedom, in addition to a year in jail for concealing the body," Judge Sirichai Polkarn said by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
US man Tyler Gerard, 22, was indicted hardship of freedom and sentenced to three years in prison, yet his punishment was lessened to two years due to his co-operation with specialists.
Prominent casualty
Bagnato was captured in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, not long after following 37-year-old Schneider's body was found. Gerard was confined as he attempted to cross from Thailand to Cambodia.
Two witnesses told the court a year ago that Bagnato was available at the season of the snatching. The judge said the GPS from an auto additionally associated him to the slaughtering.
The Pattaya Mail already detailed the GPS data demonstrated the vehicle was at the Big Buddha Hill entombment site two hours after the seizing.
